    Senior Project Manager

    Job Description:

    • This is 12 – month contract with our client in the banking sector.
    • We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of enterprise-wide projects across the business. In this role, you will ensure that project goals are fully aligned with our overall business strategy and delivered with excellence. You will be responsible for defining comprehensive project plans—specifying strategy, staffing, scheduling, risk mitigation, and optimal resource allocation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Planning & Strategy: Develop end-to-end project plans defining scope, objectives, schedules, governance, and resource requirements in line with corporate strategic goals.
    • Enterprise Execution: Direct and coordinate cross-functional project teams to deliver complex, large-scale enterprise initiatives on time and within budget.
    • Risk & Contingency Management: Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; build and execute robust contingency plans.
    • Resource & Capacity Allocation: Manage the allocation of internal and external resources, balancing workloads and optimizing team productivity.
    • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors and key business leaders, providing transparent status reporting and driving alignment.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Experience: 7+ years of proven experience managing enterprise-wide projects, portfolios, or complex transformation programs.
    • Methodologies: Strong proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management frameworks (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred).
    • Leadership: Exceptional leadership, stakeholder negotiation, and team-coordination skills.
    • Problem Solving: Proven track record in strategic risk identification, contingency planning, and resource optimization.

    Programme Executive

    Job Description:

    • This is a 12 - month contract with our client in the banking sector

    Job Purpose

    • To conduct the end-to-end management of the strategy; execution; planning; organising; negotiating; staffing; directing and controlling of all aspects of projects or programmes for a project function in ensuring the successful implementation of Projects to realize strategy.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Model the capacity requirements across full portfolio of projects per requirements.
    • Communicate the impact of capacity requirements and drive capacity planning.
    • Ensure structures are in place that drive alignment of capacity requirements with strategic priority.
    • Drive practices and business principles that achieve optimised capacity planning and resource allocation onto projects.
    • Set up and enable the management of branch budgets against an agreed financial model that considers operations and growth strategies as these align to the  strategy.
    • Participate in the strategy planning for the function.
    • Ensure optimal team delivery.
    • Consider the commercial relevance of the function to ensure a clear competitive capability, leveraging off leading industry benchmarks.
    • Ensure value add cross pollinate successful solutions with other project management functional teams.

    Scrum Master

    • We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master for an 8-month contract to drive Agile delivery within a key workstream of a large-scale Ecosystem Modernisation Programme for a premier financial institution in Centurion.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Agile Delivery Facilitation: Facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives), maintain clear sprint goals, and remove delivery impediments.
    • Technical Delivery Enablement: Enable teams delivering across digital platforms, systems integration, APIs, and data. Coordinate collaboration across technical specialists, architects, and vendors to manage interdependencies.
    • Platform & Infrastructure Collaboration: Actively interface with platform engineering, architecture, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment, integration readiness, and smooth execution across non-functional requirements.
    • Workstream Leadership Partnership: Collaborate with the Workstream Lead to translate strategic intent into refined backlogs while flagging delivery risks and trade-offs early.
    • Agile Coaching & Team Maturity: Coach teams on Agile practices, fostering self-organisation, transparency, continuous improvement, and long-term autonomy.
    • PMO Governance & Reporting: Maintain accurate delivery metrics (JIRA/Confluence) and align Agile practices with PMO governance and programme cadence without reverting to waterfall behaviours.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Experience: 5–8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery practitioner in complex, multi-stream environments.

    Technical & Platform Knowledge:

    • Solid understanding of software delivery, modern engineering toolchains (JIRA, Confluence, Git-based tools, CI/CD), and enterprise architecture foundations.
    • Proven experience working closely with platform engineering, architecture, and infrastructure teams.
    • Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Business, or a related field.
    • Recognized Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM I/II, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent).
