• We are looking for a skilled and reliable Cook to join our catering team supporting a corporate client contract. This role involves preparing and delivering high-quality meals in a professional, fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent service standards for staff and visitors. You will play a key role in maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation while adhering to company and client expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Prepare, cook, and present meals in line with set menus and company standards
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet client expectations
• Maintain high hygiene and food safety standards in line with HACCP requirements
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management
• Support menu variation and daily specials where applicable
• Work efficiently during busy service periods (breakfast, lunch, or events)
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment

Skills and Competencies    

• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Team player with a positive and professional attitude
• Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work shifts as required

Qualifications    

• Matric
• Culinary qualification would be advantageous
• Proven experience as a Cook in contract catering, hospitality, or similar environment
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (Food Safety Level 2 preferred)
