    Country Manager - CPT

    About the role

    About the role
    Your daily adventures will include:

    • Develop and Execute Business Strategy: Take full ownership of the Bolt Food business strategy, driving its development and operations. Demonstrate a true owner mindset, taking responsibility for the P&L and driving profitability.
    • Strategic Planning and Target Achievement: Lead the country strategy development, setting and achieving challenging targets for growth, profitability, and user experience enhancements. Continuously evaluate and adapt strategies to meet evolving market dynamics and customer demands.
    • Operational Excellence: Streamline and scale operational processes across courier operations, merchant operations, and other functional areas to drive value creation throughout the organization. Leverage data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement projects that enhance operational and financial city metrics.
    • Team Management: Manage and lead cross-functional teams including Merchant Operations, Sales, Account Management, and Courier Operations. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, empowering team members to achieve business goals and deliver exceptional experiences to eaters, restaurants, and couriers.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager and HQ teams to address operational or product-related challenges, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Provide timely and accurate reports on market performance, challenges, and opportunities to support decision-making processes.

    About you:

    • Experience: Previous experience in a senior management role, preferably in the food delivery or e-commerce industry. Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and executing business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
    • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of the local market landscape and competitive dynamics in South Africa. Proven ability to analyse data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
    • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets and deliver outstanding results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Result Orientation: Proven ability to set ambitious goals and drive teams towards achieving them. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences to users while ensuring business growth and profitability.
    • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving industry, navigating through ambiguity and driving change within the organization.
