CRS Consultants are urgently required for a leading IT Vendor based in Johannesburg, South Africa, for a long-term contract leading into a possible permanent placement. The ideal Candidate will have extensive knowledge of Cyber Recovery at a senior level as well as an expert understanding of CRS practises.

The following skills and experience are required:

• Minimum 5+ years’ CRS experience and good architectural/high level understanding of:
• Data Protection and Storage technologies
• Storage methods and principles, ideally EMC Data Domain knowledge
• Storage platforms, ideally EMC products incl. Unity
• Storage networking, ideally Brocade switches & fabric configuration Knowledge of business recovery processes
• Virtualisation platforms, i.e. VMware
• Network Technical knowledge
• Firewall configuration
• Networking configuration & protocols (e.g, OSPF)
• Secure environments
• Security Controls awareness
• Hands-On Windows/Linux infrastructure experience
• Knowledge of data backups methods & formats, associated backup platforms, software and monitoring of backups (health checks)
• Ability to liaise with other technical/engineering stakeholders and conduct structured troubleshooting of backup/technical issues
• Experience developing and executing/managing Test Plans
• Strong consulting & reporting skills
• Comfortable engaging technical/business stakeholders
• Ability to conduct workshops and drive requirements/define methodology
• Strong documentation/presentation skills:
• ITSM (Service Management) knowledge/awareness incl. service Quality Assurance & SLA Measurement/Management
• Experience in an IT Operational role, managing or running business critical service(s)
• Knowledge of EMC Cyber Recovery Solution (CRS) or similar products/services highly beneficial
• Can understand and relay technical solution/services to other technical/non-technical stakeholders in English also highly beneficial
