    Culture & Events Coordinator

    Job Description

    • Organise events with master precision. Planning should include timelines, budgets, themes and measurables to understand the success of each event.
    • Ensure that each event is carefully budgeted for. Be skillful in the art of cost-saving by using vendor networks to your favour.
    • Make certain that events run smoothly. 
    • Work with the Marketing team to make the campaign come alive! Understand the Ignition brand but be creative in how this is executed.
    • Deliver our Star of the Month and Quarterly Leadership Awards, and ensure winners are uploaded to our digital Wall of Fame timeously.
    • Understand how to strategically measure the success of events & how they impact on the overall business.
    • Replicate Ignition’s culture in Durban into the Cape Town office.
    • Represent the Voice of the Employee in Cape Town – understand the painpoints that exist and be bold in making changes with the goal of keep employees happy and motivated.
    • Represent virtual culture and execute team builds for US colleagues. Understand and measure what success looks like for remote workers.
    • Virtually manage our small Johannesburg office to also replicate events happening in Cape Town and Durban.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years event management experience (branding and/or marketing experience would be a bonus)
    • Valid drivers license plus ow vehicle required
    • Be open to flexible working hours (11am – 7.30pm, but later shifts may be required)
    • Creative flair and eye for detail
    • Data driven
    • Excellent organisational and execution skills
    • Calm under pressure
    • A natural team player. Always willing to help to get the job done
