    Customer Success Account Manager

    Description

    Bangers & Mash is a global, women-run digital agency that specialises in creative execution (we are proudly the first and only official Snapchat Augmented Reality Lens Creator in Africa), and paid media buying and management. We have taken our years of experience in the field and built a sales division that builds both paid and organic social and digital experiences for brands that have real business impact.

    We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Customer Success account manager to work in conjunction with clients to facilitate digital campaigns across a number of social platforms, and measure and report on their effectiveness.

    A successful applicant should be meticulous about managing their accounts, and should have a responsible work ethic, a can-do attitude and be willing to work closely with the client on all levels of the account.

    Role Description:

    As a B&M Customer Success Manager, you’ll be expected to liaise with an already existing book of clients, growing and developing relationships, as well as fostering new client relationships, ultimately aimed at retaining and growing clients, and achieving revenue goals for the business.

    You will manage the day to day client communications, relaying the relevant information to the internal teams to ensure smooth execution. Creative problem-solving skills will help your ability to address any client challenges, making you the central point of contact for your clients and their campaigns. You will be expected to become comfortable in your client’s industry and business challenges, strengths and objectives in order for the B&M team as a whole to better serve their needs.

    You will be expected to report back on your efforts at a cadence and frequency that is relevant to both the business (monthly and/or per campaign) and to the client (should they require more frequent reporting).

    You will be tasked with building those relationships to assist with revenue generation for B&M through account growth and opportunity spotting, using upselling as a method to secure more budget should the opportunity present itself.

    All of the above is done with the support of an extensive team.

    Requirements

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Capturing and loading new client bookings,

    • Client management, as the primary contact between client and agency for status meetings and any relevant communication,

    • The daily smooth running of an account and the production of its advertising by liaising with the internal team and establishing deadlines, as well as for ensuring that work is produced on time,

    • Relationship building with clients based on trust and mutual understanding, and setting up monthly or bi-monthly check-ins to ensure clients feels that you have their needs covered at all times,

    • Contributing to the accurate financial management of the business by ensuring work is produced within budget and improving profitability wherever possible,

    • Account management, including but not limited to:

      • client onboarding and kickoff,

      • insertion orders,

      • content scheduling,

      • monthly status and planning meetings, and

      • compiling and sharing reporting.

    • Good computer literacy, specifically on Apple’s hardware and software:

      • the business runs off Google Workplace so experience on this system is beneficial, and

      • all business collateral is developed on iOS Keynote.

    • Proficiency in English,

    • Well-organised and responsible with an aptitude for problem-solving, and

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

     

    Beneficial:

    • Experience using Monday.com and Slack, or similar, as well as any content scheduling tools.

    *The role can be based either in Cape Town or Johannesburg, with the possibility of flexi hours and remote work becoming available after the agreed-upon probation period.
