Data Analyst at PEP

Description

We are looking for an individual with experience using a variety of data visualisation tools and analysis methods used to turn data into actionable insights with demonstrated business impact. 

Purpose of the job

To ensure Data solution applications incorporate industry standards and best practices; and to provide business with the capability to do self service data analytics

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire, combine and transform data from various sources into interpretable datasets.
• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical/analytical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards
• Test and validate solutions in accordance with specification and user requirements
• Visualise data using appropriate tools. 
• System Improvement delivery 
• Training /Knowledge acquisition and transfer

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS 

• Bsc/Bcom in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
• 3-5 years experience within a similar role
• Knowledge and experience with relevant software packages will be advantageous (Tableau, GCP, Data Studio, Business Objects, SQL)
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in data warehousing
• Presentation skills
• Good communication skills and a team player that can cope in a dynamic environment
