Managed Talent Solutions a Business Unit with Datacentrix is looking for a Data Analyst with financial services knowledge. Applicant must have atleast 5 years experience in IT coupled with a degree in Computer Science and SDLC methodology knowledge. This is a fixed term contract and the role will be based in Johannesburg.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems and/ or;
Advanced computer literacy.
Financial services knowledge.
SDLC methodology knowledge.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial services sector.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT.
Key Responsibilities:
Collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs, etc.).
Ensuring the quality, consistency, and accuracy of data before analysis.
Combining data from multiple sources to create comprehensive datasets.
Analyzing large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Applying statistical techniques (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing) to interpret data.
Using mathematical and statistical models to predict outcomes or identify relationships in the data.
Creating charts, graphs, and other visual representations of data to make insights easily understandable.
Generating reports (often using BI tools) that summarize findings and insights.
Communicating findings to stakeholders in a clear and understandable way, often tailored to non-technical audiences.
Proficient use of data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Python, R, or specialized software.
Querying and managing data in databases, often using SQL or other database languages.
Automating repetitive data tasks using scripting or programming languages to improve efficiency.
