Data Quality Officer - Cape Town at Right to Care

Description

The DQO provides data management support to all sites in their district through:

• Conduct routine data quality assessments, data management training and mentoring. 
• Collate all site level data on MMC conducted each and share with Provincial M & E Officer.
• Conducts 60% data quality assurance on Lynx or related data management system.
• Supports submission of monthly VMMC data to district health information personnel.
• Where applicable, capture VMMC data on the (District Health Information System) DHIS.
• Supports program administrator with data management related issues.
• Supports the Provincial M & E Officer with weekly and adhoc report.

Requirements

Required Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualification in data management related field OR
• Matric
• Three years’ experience in data quality assurance
• Computer literacy incl. Excel, OR equivalent experience would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of VMMC
• Driver’s license

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• 3 years’ experience in managing HIV/AIDS/VMMC-related data, including data verification, quality assurance and reporting
• 2 years’ experience in working with data management/M&E systems (including DATIM, DHIS and Advanced Excel)
• One year’s experience in managing staff is an advantage
• Two years’ experience in training / facilitation is an advantage
• M & E training would be an added advantage
