    Data Scientist (Consultant)

    Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to : 

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including healthcare professionals, and IT, to understand data requirements and visualisation objectives.
    • Design and implement an interactive data visualisation system that effectively presents complex health data to various stakeholders, enabling them to make informed decisions.
    • Develop and maintain a user-friendly web-based data repository that houses health-related datasets, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
    • Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data from diverse sources into formats suitable for visualisation and analysis.
    • Utilise advanced data visualisation techniques and tools to create compelling and insightful visual representations of health data trends, patterns, and insights.
    • Work closely with domain experts to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics relevant to healthcare decision-making, and translate them into visual components.
    • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of data visualisation solutions with existing systems and infrastructure.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data visualisation technologies and methodologies, and apply them to enhance the organisations data visualisation capabilities.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the data literacy of internal and external stakeholders, enabling them to effectively navigate and interpret visualised health data as required.
    • Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies that address healthcare challenges, improve patient outcomes, and support evidence-based policymaking.


    Requirements:

    • Honours or Masters degree in data science or Information Technology.
    • Minimum  3 - 5 years’ experience in the data analytics environment.
    • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
    • Experience in data mining.
    • Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an advantage.
    • Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and data frameworks (essential).
    • Proficiency in MS Office 365 with well-developed Excel skills (essential).
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
