- An exciting opportunity has become available within the NBL Sales team for a DC Coordinator, to be based in Bryanston. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Key Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Sales Operations Managers, and Sales Admin Manager to achieve the set targeted NSV and volume sales for the relevant customer DCs.

Key Areas of Impact:
DC Stock Management
- Pull a stock on hand report from the Customer DC system and compare it to the NBL stock level report and communicate any discrepancies to the relevant Customer and the NBL Team.
- Inform the Customer Replenishers of lines that are out of stock and arrange for the orders to be placed accordingly.
- Arrange special deliveries with the NBL Planning team if required.
- Use the stock on hand report effectively to avoid placing additional stock on the lines that have high days cover.
- Liaise with the NBL Planning and LSS teams on effective management of all orders from placement to delivery, including order bookings.
- Inform the NBL Sales Team of any upcoming promotional activity and make use of the Customer system reports, in conjunction with NBL stock level reports, to ensure correct quantities are ordered.
- Manage standing times at the DC back doors’ and inform the NBL Planning and LSS Teams of any delays.
- Manage effective stock rotation to prevent expired stock in the DCs.
- Monitor damaged stock in the DCs and communicate with DC management, as well as the relevant NBL KAM.
Build, develop and maintain the customer relationships at the relevant Customer DCs
Visit the relevant Customer DCs weekly and meet with the Customer Replenishers to:
- Communicate out of stocks, delivery delays, etc.
- Present upcoming innovation
- Inform Replenishers of discontinued lines to ensure a block is placed accordingly so that stock is not ordered
- Engage with all the other stakeholders at the relevant DC (DC Manager, Receiving Manager etc.) weekly to address challenges and communicate actionable plans to resolve them.
- Attend quarterly KAM meetings with the relevant Customer Buyers.
Completion of all planning and administration for area of responsibility
- Pull and share Customer stock on hand reports with KAM, SAM and SE daily.
- Communicate regional and national confirmed promotional activity with the NBL Sales team in advance.
- Attend NBL forecast meetings with SAM, SE and the NBL Planning Team for all KVI SKUs monthly.
- Manage the listing of innovation at the relevant DCs and oversee the placement of orders.
- Compile weekly and monthly sales reports for the relevant Customer DCs.
Operations management
- Manage and resolve store level queries daily through interacting with AVI Field Marketing and store management.
- Complete trade visits with the Regional Sales team, with contact reports, weekly.
- Using the available resources, liaise with key stakeholders and put measures in place at the DCs to rectify the issues at store level.
Comprehend and utilise the customer systems, and available data, to drive the NBL business
- Extract and analyse Customer system data and effectively manage low stocks/overstocks at DC and store level.
- Utilise Power BI to analyse sales out data, in comparison to sales in data on SQL, to understand promotional success, order patterns and seasonal requirements.
What It Takes to Succeed:
Experience that set you up for success:
- 3- 5 years’ experience in warehouse and distribution operations with customer experience in retail, in the FMCG industry
Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:
- Completed Matric / Grade 12 certificate is essential
- Completed Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management/Business related qualification is advantageous

- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong focus on analytical skills
- Ability to analyse and interpret large datasets to generate meaningful insights
