    Debtors Clerk

    Your talent and positive mental ability, means you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    • Preparation of daily / monthly journals
    • Monthly fee billing and ad hoc trip and disbursement billing
    • Capture and allocate payments
    • Receiving all proof of payments and remittances and receipt and allocating accurately
    • Accurate data capturing
    • Credit enquiries
    • Resolution of monthly reconciliation queries
    • Assist and resolve debtors’ queries
    • Assist with month end processing
    • Assist with preparation of reports for annual audit / management accounts
    • Perform general accounting duties as requested
    • Provide feedback and regular reports to stakeholders
    • Interaction with a wide range of stakeholders

    Requirements

    • A matric certificate (Grade 12)
    • At least 3 - 5 years of relevant finance experience
    • Knowledge of ACCPAC and IDU will be beneficial
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and excellent computer proficiency. A skills test may be administered. Must be able to work with Pivot Tables, Formula's, and Data Extractions, etc.
    • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
    • Critical thinker, clear use of initiative and problem-solving skills
    • Good time-management skills and ability to affectively plan your day and prioritize your duties. 
    • Deadline orientated, ability to work effectively under pressure and extended hours when necessary
    • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
    • Sound work ethic and ability to prioritise and multi-task
    • Attention to detail, high level of speed and accuracy
    • Must be able to work in a team environment
    • Committing to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College, as well as participating in the broader life of St Stithians College
    • A police clearance, sexual offender’s clearance certificate and a clear credit enquiry
