    Demand Planner

    Hyperli is hiring! Hyperli is an online lifestyle platform with Millions of subscribers across South Africa. We partner with SMEs to market directly to our subscribers through unique and curated offers. We are looking for a creative and analytical individual to join our editorial team as a planner. This role sits between our sales and marketing teams. You will be the go to person when it comes to determining the type of trends we follow, what deals the sales teams should be focusing on and constantly be analysing the data to make sure we are targeting the right merchants and delivering the best performance we can. You will focus on planning, developing and executing merchandising campaigns to drive revenue for multiple business channels and across varying platforms.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Own and manage the inventory approval process.
    • Responsible for determining deals, including deal structures and parameters, that will
    • run in their assigned markets.
    • It involves trend forecasting that will optimize the performance of their assigned market(s).
    • Communicate deal needs with the sales team.
    • Identify trends in new categories by keeping abreast of events such as new restaurant openings, new leisure activities, new beauty or wellness treatments.
    • Utilize deal knowledge within the team and region to fine tune deal economics with sales
    • teams.
    • Highlight issues and deal concerns with the sales team.
    • Optimize deal structure to ensure customer and merchant satisfaction and market-level
    • profitability.
    • Execution of online merchandising strategies, with the goal of optimizing the customer
    • experience in order to increase sales, improve conversion rates and decrease bounce
    • rates. Core metric is online sales and conversion rate.
    • Ensuring that site and app content is correctly prioritized, optimized, and refreshed to
    • create clear, effective customer shopping experience.
    • Support Sales leadership with market level expertise, driving revenue and mitigating risk.
    • Review live promotion performance and recommend pricing and inventory adjustments.
    • Support Sales and Market Management with reporting to help establish, maintain and negotiate supplier relationships.
    • Provide Market Managers of priority opportunities on struggling accounts and any other revenue generating opportunities.

    Requirements:

    • Qualifications and skills relevant in analytic business experience.
    • Ability to manipulate data and derive insights from complex data sets from multiple
    • sources.
    • Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
    • Experience using web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Webtrends or
    • Omniture, as well as business intelligence software such as MicroStrategy, Cognos,
    • Business Objects or QlikView is an advantage.
    • Independent worker, comfortable in fast changing and pressurised environment.
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills
    • Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to own and execute on multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
    • Possess excellent organizational skills
