An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree as recognised by SAQA in Economics/ Finance/ Business Administration or Public Management with majors in Public Finance/ Public Sector Economics.
5 years or more experience in Economic Development with focus on Industrialization development, special economic zones and Industrial Parks of which 3 years should be at the junior management level.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations. Computer literacy. A valid driver’s license.
DUTIES :
Support long-term industrial and economic development.
Develop new special economic zones/industrial regions/parks and strengths existing ones.
Create an appropriate environment for foreign direct and domestic investment.
Ensure the formulation of policies and a clear framework for the development, operation, and management of SEZ.
Build-up and downstream linkages in strategic value chains. Manage the resources of the sub-directorate which includes the budget personnel and assets.
