Job Description:

Deputy Manager Financ

• In this role you will work closely with a business unit creating a real and active partnership with operational areas.  You will provide 'real time' support and analysis, to be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist in decision making.

Key Performance Areas

Operational Client Contract Support

• Improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance
• Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies
• Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered
• Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams

SA Reporting

• Responsible for reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Monthly input to SAP and Axiom financial systems.
• Management of the invoicing and cash cycle for external clients.

Implementation of Guidance and Policy

• Implements, maintains and manages the cascading of all relevant policies & procedures to team members
• Reports all health & safety incidents to the Occupational Health and Safety Officer on site.
• Ensure safe working practices are adopted by themselves and other employees in their work areas to maintain a safe working environment for employees and clients. These are defined in the staff handbook.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Qualification:

• Grade 12
• BCom (Accounting, Finance or Management accounting) (Complete)
• Qualified Accountant or related NQF Level 8 qualification is preferred but not essential

Minimum Experience:   

• At least 5 years’ experience of which 2 years has been gained within a BPO/international call centre
• SAP
• Advanced practical experience in Excel
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
• Outstanding communication and people skills

Minimum Knowledge:   

• General Ledgers
• Vat Returns
• Financial Integrity and Control
• New systems transitioning
• Procurement/Supplier management
• CAPEX
