Deputy Plant Controller at Faurecia

Main purpose of the role

This position requires that the incumbent assists the Plant Controller of the Pretoria plant in order to guarantee and optimise the plant’s financial performance and competitiveness and provide specific support to the Plant Controller in the following activities

Essential responsibilities and duties

To support the Plant Controller in the following activities:

• Ensure site activities are complaint with Faurecia finance & controlling related procedures (product flow, inventory, routings,…) and internal control basics e.g. Indirect Purchasing (NPP) PR /PO validation process.
• Provide reliable financial/controlling information
• Development and inputting data for budget, periodic forecast, strategic plant, etc.
• Assist with collection of monthly reporting data e.g. Flash-F, Actual NF, Actual C, and Forecast-F.
• Direct labour (MOD) tracking in terms of productivity and efficiency and to investigate and report any unusual fluctuations from budget/norm.
• Contribute to controlling analysis including variance analysis/standard costs, margin/programs, plant budgetary control as may be required.
• Validate changes to master data such as purchase/selling price changes.
• Assist with cycle count validations.
• Contribute to the control and management of the plant’s operating cashflow (capex, inventories, overdues)

Qualifications and position requirements

Minimum education level:  

Minimum Degree or equivalent qualification in Finance or Accounting
Experience :

• At least 3 year working experience within a manufacturing or similar financial environment.
• Skills and competencies:
• Attention to detail and a team player who can also work confidently and independently with adherence to stringent deadlines.
• Undoubted ethical record and upholding of Faurecia corporate culture and values.
• Above average proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
• SAP experience
