Design and Development: Create detailed designs and plans for dams, reservoirs, and hydropower plants, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Site Assessment: Evaluate potential sites for hydropower projects, considering geological, hydrological, and environmental factors.
Developing construction project specifications and designs based on customer requirements and design standards.
Using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools to create and refine construction project designs. Creating 3D models and animations using CAD and BIM software.
Conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to determine the viability of new designs and construction techniques.
Developing and maintaining project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports. Prepare and present technical reports, design ideas, and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
Ensuring that construction projects meet regulatory requirements and adhere to safety, reliability, and sustainability standards.
Collaborating with other engineering disciplines, architects, contractors and other construction professionals to ensure that designs are feasible and meet project requirements.
Collaborating with project managers and contractors to ensure that construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings and making recommendations to senior management.
Conducting regular project team meetings and providing guidance and support to team members.
Ensuring that all project stakeholders are kept informed of project progress and any changes to the project plan.
Job Requirements:
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
ECSA PrEng
Experience:
At least 10 years experience
Strong technical background in engineering
Excellent design skills
Proficient in using CAD and Civil 3D software and other engineering tools
Knowledge of construction processes and standards, as well as experience with project management
