    Designers/Project Manager

    To create a functional workspace for Nedbank Group by facilitating and managing projects in-owned and leased campus and mini campus sites and buildings.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Identify project needs by engaging with client; investigating; creating project scope; space; budget availability; estimating project resourcing and timelines
    • Engage and influence client confidence and stakeholder's perception of workspace planning through on-going engagement and proactive delivery
    • Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced work / branch space that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.
    • Ensure sound client relationships through proactive customer and stakeholder engagement; change management and project communication
    • Compile a project related budgets within agreed scope of work by using systems and processes
    • Ensure cost effectiveness by complete projects within the compiled budget
    • Plan projects by designing layout plan; obtaining relevant drawing approvals; production of bill of quantities; budget approval; compiling project plan; placing orders and confirming implementation and compliance
    • Implement projects through site establishment; implementing tasks to meet milestones and snag
    • Ensure closure of projects through resolving snags; handing over manuals to the customer; issuing evacuation drawings and certificate of compliance
    • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy
    • Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe.
    • Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Project Management with a proven background of leading multiple projects and working within tight deadlines
    • Solid background in Build fit Projects within either the Financial or Retail sector and an ability to create and implement detailed project plans and conceptualise client needs
    • Knowledge and understanding of the construction process would be advantage
    • Strong leadership and communication skills a must
    • Experience working on "Turn-key" projects will be beneficial.
    • Experience working on bank infrastructure projects will be an advantage
    • Experience working within with design, construction projects will be an advantage

    Qualification

    • Project Management Certificate or Diploma would be advantageous
