Developer at Industrial Data Xchange (IDX)

We are looking for dynamic individuals that are technically capable developers, but are also able to handle project and support work, to join our small team of similarly self-motivated individuals working together in a small business/start-up-style environment.

Candidate Requirements:

• Fit the development team and company culture.
• Personal integrity with willingness and ability to get things done/make things happen.
• Contribute enthusiastically to a team setting to the success of the company as whole.
• Good technical troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Alternatively, a strong, demonstrable development work/experience/track record will also be considered.
• Proficient, demonstrable knowledge of and experience in .NET C# development. C++ and other
• languages, cloud platforms and technologies will be advantageous.
• Experience with industrial automation systems and/or communication systems and protocols are advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with Linux and compact/embedded computing systems are advantageous but not essential.
• Valid driver’s license and South African passport or residence permit

Role Requirements:

• Work in a small team of developers on IDX Nexus but potentially also solo on projects when the need arises.
• Interpret technical requirements, propose technical solutions, as well as implement those solutions in line with the company strategy after suitable consultation with the development/project team on a collaborative basis.
• Maintain existing codebase and design methodologies but also constructively propose improvements to the development process and embrace learning new technologies that fit with the company strategy.
• Engineer/deliver projects and solutions based on the developed products.
• Be ready to share and debate ideas creatively and constructively
