Be in possession of a Grade 12/N3 Qualification or Equivalent
Be in possession of an appropriate Trade Certificate (Millwright/Fitter/Diesel Mech)
Have 3 years’ diesel mechanic experience on trackless mobile equipment/underground.
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment
Must have proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or be fully vaccinated by the date of the commencement of employment
Key Competencies:
Have sound Interpersonal relations and good communication skills
Be able to interpret hydraulic drawings and use with fault-finding.
Extensive experience on Sandvik / Atlas Copco and Aard Machines.

To ensure that mechanical equipment in Trackless Engineering is maintained in a highly effective and efficient state in accordance with the company’s procedures for operations
Ensure health, safety and security of self and fellow artisans by applying safety and security standards and procedures in the execution of maintenance activities
Ensure that the condition monitoring of equipment, scheduled and planned maintenance are conducted timeously and effectively
Promotes and develops team work to become an effective team member
