    Trackless Longhole Rig Operator

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Be in possession of a Matric / Grade 12 Qualification or Equivalent
    • Be in possession of the relevant Longhole Rig Certificate and License (Certificate of Competency)
    • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a mining environment
    • Successfully complete a Dover assessment, at a level appropriate to the position
    • Be highly motivated self-starter with proven positive attendance record
    • Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license
    • Successfully undertake security screening with zero material findings
    • Have at least 2 years’ experience as a Longhole Rig Operator in a mining environment (advantageous)
    • Be in possession of a valid Blasting Certificate (advantageous)
    • Successfully completed Competent A and B (advantageous)
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment.

    Trackless Foreman Eng Mechanical

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Be in possession of a Grade 12 or Equivalent
    • Be in possession of an appropriate Trade Certificate
    • Proven track record of Workshop Management Achievements
    • Be computer literate in MS Office
    • Have 5 years’ experience in a mechanized mining environment as an artisan and 2 years in a supervisory capacity
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

    • Carry out planned task observations to verify capability of subordinates and identify shortcomings which would require on-the-job coaching
    • Engaging in the optimisation of mechanised development process to ensure continuous alignment to best practice standards
    • Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
    • Identify, initiate and implement improvement projects to increase operational efficiencies with continuous improvement at all times

    Underground Foreman Electrician

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Be in possession of a Grade 12 or N3 and relevant trade certificate
    • Be in possession of a Foreman or Senior Foreman certificate
    • Must have experience on underground rolling-stock, B-Frame pumps, Vertical Spindle pumps, Pneumatic and Hydraulic power pack systems.
    • General construction knowledge and steel work e.g.: box fronts, tip steel work, BAC’s and chairlifts.
    • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a fitter and at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
    • Intimate knowledge of the relevant mine’s codes-of-practice
    • Understand the Principles of Regenerative breaking on DC motors
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment.

    • Responsible for battery locos, diesel loaders, battery bays, power packs on tips and boxfronts
    • Responsible for Maxus controllers, air cylinders, air controllers, new era loco’s and vertical spindle pumps and logistics infrastructure.
    • Maintenance of standards and conditions in the section
    • To provide and maintain a safe environment with minimum risk to the Health and Safety and proper installation of equipment in the section

    Trackless Charmec Operator

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Maintains Safety, Health and Environmental practices according to standards and procedures.
    • Performs end of shift procedures according to standards and procedures e.g., parks the Charmec at the designated area, cleans equipment and reports to supervisor.
    • Performs any other activities necessary for the effective completion of his/her work.

    Diesel Mechanic

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Be in possession of a Grade 12/N3 Qualification or Equivalent
    • Be in possession of an appropriate Trade Certificate (Millwright/Fitter/Diesel Mech)
    • Have 3 years’ diesel mechanic experience on trackless mobile equipment/underground.
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

    • Ensure that the condition monitoring of equipment, scheduled and planned maintenance are conducted timeously and effectively
    • Promotes and develops team work to become an effective team member
