Trackless Foreman Eng Mechanical at Gold Fields Limited

Minimum Requirements:

• Be in possession of a Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Be in possession of an appropriate Trade Certificate
• Proven track record of Workshop Management Achievements
• Be computer literate in MS Office
• Have 5 years’ experience in a mechanized mining environment as an artisan and 2 years in a supervisory capacity
• Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment
• Must have proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or be fully vaccinated by the date of the commencement of employment

• Ability to give direction and leadership to subordinates
• Advanced knowledge of Machine Maintenance/Refurbishments.
• Advanced knowledge of Schematic Drawing Reading/Fault Finding.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance of standards and conditions within the TM3 section.
• Responsible for Maintaining Skid steer Loaders/LDV, s.(Toyota/Cat)
• Responsible for the safe and proper installation of equipment.
• Responsible for all outside contractors and capital projects in the section.
• Maintain budget for spares in accordance with the allocated budget and place orders to ensure availability of spares.
• Responsible for implementation of the asset management strategy related to the equipment for the area of responsibility
• Carry out planned task observations to verify capability of subordinates and identify shortcomings which would require on-the-job coaching
• Engaging in the optimisation of mechanised development process to ensure continuous alignment to best practice standards
• Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
• Identify, initiate and implement improvement projects to increase operational efficiencies with continuous improvement at all times
