    Digital Designer

    Job Purpose
    Nedbank is looking for a Digital Designer. The ideal candidate will have built on their skills and abilities as a Graphic/Digital Designer by combining graphic design with animation to create short videos and presentations. The individual must be a team player, conceptually strong and highly skilled in design and layout. S/he must be able to handle jobs from concept through to creative design and roll-out. The incumbent will be part of a team that is responsible for the production of digital content across websites, social media, eMailers, motion graphics and digital banners. 

    Job Responsibilities

    • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc.).
    • Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of key business strategies.
    • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes; systems and policies and support implementation of new processes; policies and systems.
    • Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters; websites and attending sessions.
    • Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders.Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
    • Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed; experience practiced and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.
    • Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge sharing knowledge with team.
    • Provide input on activities for relevant marketing reports by collecting information on status and results.
    • Co-ordinate tasks; resources and internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of activities.Meet financial objectives by co-ordinating activities in line with budget requirements.
    • Support the Marketing Plan including the Client Value Proposition (CVP) by aligning activities within the business.

    People Specification

    • Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

    Preferred Qualification

    • Relevant Bachelors Degree or National Diploma or IMM Degree at NQF Level 6

    Type of Exposure

    • 5+ years’ experience in agency or inhouse design studio.
    • Strong conceptual designer 
    • Proficient in Adobe suite such as, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premier Pro, Dreamweaver and XD 
    • Have good understanding of all digital media and social channels.
    • Must have experience working with media chase list/creative matrix 
    • Must perform well within a high pressure environment
    • Excellent in working with teams and independently
    • A great eye for design with attention to detail
    • Knowledge of the industry and new technologies
    • The ability to present own work when needed 
       
    • Minimum Experience Level
    • 5+ years in digital agency studio environment in a graphic/multimedia/digital designer capacity
    • Technical / Professional Knowledge
    • Proficient in Adobe suite such as, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premier Pro, Dreamweaver and XD 
    • Experience in a digital marketing agency would be highly advantageous 
    • Experience in digital user experience and CX 
    • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and an ability to work independently and within a team 
    • Strong digital project management skills with experience in all digital platforms    
    • Ability to negotiate deadlines, deliverables and expectations with clients 
    • Ability to meet deadlines timeously at a high delivery standard 
    • Proven understanding of the digital production process and the ability to run projects efficiently 
    • Solid understanding of all design formats
    • Natural flair and passion for design 
    • Take initiative and be self-lead on project 
    • Strong portfolio 
    • Highly motivated
    • Very imaginative
