THE POSITION
The Digital Marketing Specialist will support this fast growing Animal Health business in the execution of the Social Media and Digital strategies in South Africa. This role should have a strong grasp of current social medial and digital marketing tools and strategies to be able to implement integrated digital and social media marketing campaigns.
Tasks & responsibilities
Responsible for the implementation of social media marketing brand campaigns from concept to execution
To ensure all website content is maintained to a high-quality standard and kept updated
Responsible for website traffic and SEO management
To perform social media community management
To manage mass mail campaigns
To support the Digital Engagement and Multi-Channel Engagement Manager with Digital campaigns
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in digital marketing, communications or similar
At least 2-3 years solid hands on experience in digital & social media marketing environment in a similar role
Proven experience in web writing/ social media copy write/journalism/digital advertising/ writing/ literature/communications/mass media
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
A strong understanding of content management and SEO
Knowledge of bulk email tools (Everlytic, Adobe or IBM Watson etc)
Social media community management experience
Proven experience working with digital agencies
Proven experience working in cross-functional teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteSocial media community management experience
Knowledge of CMS tool(s) would be advantageous
Knowledge of HTML would be advantageous
Experience and knowledge of broader pay per click advertising mechanisms such as Google Search and Google Adwords. Programmatic experience advantageous
Ability to interpret social media and digital analytics and compile digital marketing reports would be advantageous
Human Pharma / Animal Health background would be advantageous but not a prerequisite
