Director Business Development - Metals and Mining (Automation / Process / Mining)
Formulate and execute comprehensive account strategies that encompass diverse elements to stimulate and enhance profitable business growth, including projects, MRO, parts, displacement, and service ventures.
Devise and implement strategic plans for Mining EPCs to enhance the visibility of all mining projects within the region.
Cultivate robust relationships with key players in EPCs and establish and execute processes to propel the expansion of the installed base.
Design and execute a targeted Sales channel approach for mining supply partners and resellers.
Achieve or surpass financial objectives within the assigned territory, aligning with the Africa Territory business plan, including budget and monthly booking forecasts.
Advocate solution selling for critical applications, addressing customer pain points through on-site visits and surveys. Develop plans to drive effective displacement solutions to end-users.
Generate and present marketing forecasts, pricing surveys, business growth insights, and marketing plans.
Proactively collaborate with the Global Project Pursuit Team and World Area Sales team to identify, assess, and pursue projects, ensuring order conversion and maximizing potential for all products and services.
Engage early with End Users Project teams to actively support and promote preference for the clients’ products and solutions.
Strictly adhere to company ethics and trade compliance procedures in all business transactions.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
8 - 10 years in Sales / Sales channel management / Strategic Accounts experience preferably in the valve industry or with Process mining industry.
Process Automation/Valve/Instrumentation Mining Industry experience.
Graduate Engineer with Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Petroleum, Chemical or equivalent.
MBA qualification will be considered advantageous.
