Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the warehouse, distribution and administrative processes
• Optimise warehouse capacity utilisation
• Optimise delivery processes
• Improve warehouse efficiencies
• Ensure critical controls are in place
• Ensure that standard operating procedures are applied correctly
• Control key aspects and take corrective action where necessary
• Drive continuous improvement principles
• Manage fixed and variable cost
• Compile budget and report deviations
• Plan for resource demands
• Do peak planning
• Manage loss control and SHE aspects
• Ensure systems are in place to execute functions relating to maintenance, safety and security etc.
• Manage stock breakages and losses
• Manage staff
• Ensure optimal utilisation of staff
• Apply consistent discipline
• Train and develop staff
• Conduct warehouse meetings and ensure effective communication to all
• Liaise and communicate with management in all departments
• Set objectives, manage and measure performance of subordinates
