District Supervisor - Healthwise Eastern Cape at Tsebo Solution

• Fedics Healthwise is seeking an experienced, commercially astute, and highly driven District Manager to oversee a demanding portfolio of healthcare catering contracts across the Eastern Cape. This role is ideally suited to a hands-on operational leader with extensive contract catering experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in a highly regulated healthcare environment. Duties & Responsibilities    

• Manage and lead a portfolio of healthcare catering contracts across the Eastern Cape.
• Ensure consistent delivery of contractual obligations, client expectations, and operational standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, hospital management teams, and key stakeholders.
• Drive financial performance through budget management, cost control, forecasting, and profitability improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Catering Managers and site management teams.
• Monitor labour utilisation, productivity, and workforce planning.
• Manage recruitment activities, succession planning, and employee retention initiatives.
• Reduce staff turnover through effective people management and engagement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare audit requirements, food safety standards, quality systems, and legislative requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits, operational reviews, and performance assessments.
• Drive customer satisfaction, service excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support mobilisations, contract renewals, and business growth opportunities.

Qualifications    

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior Contract Catering Management role
• Previous Healthcare Catering experience is essential
• Proven experience managing multiple sites within a contract catering environment
• Strong financial and commercial management skills
• Experience managing budgets, P&Ls, labour costs, and operational efficiencies
• Demonstrated success in managing demanding and high-volume portfolios
• Strong stakeholder and client relationship management skills
• Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, and staff turnover
• Sound knowledge of healthcare audits, food safety standards, and compliance requirements
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people management capabilities
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively within the Eastern Cape
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Business Management, or related field
