Diversity & Inclusion Specialist - Woodmead at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• Awareness of DE&I topics and trends; educates, coaches and mentors others on the team, in Human Resources and in the business on DE&I topics
• Development of the Group and business unit specific Employment Equity Plan through consultation with the relevant stakeholders
• Guides the business with alignment of Employment Equity and B-BBEE targets
• Partners with Senior Management, Business and Human Resources leaders in the implementation of strategy, initiatives and tactics to attract, retain and develop a diverse workforce
• Uses metrics and data insights to support the achievement of DE&I goals
• Guides and participates in identified DE&I projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with global diversity strategies and business goals
• Drive compliance towards the regulated and internal stretched targets and implementation of an integrated inclusion and belonging strategy that supports the compliance efforts for sustainability
• Apply innovation and best practice to foster open, diverse, and inclusive environment whilst meeting legislative, reporting and policy requirements
• Implementation of diversity programs and strategies for business units
• Coordinate D&I initiatives undertaken and provide guidance to BU leaders
• Drive country specific D&I initiatives including BBBEE in SA and other employment equity commitments as deemed necessary
• Drive and monitor the B-BBEE verification process to ensure the targeted outcome is achieved
• Research and benchmark best B-BBEE practices across various industries and competitors
• Identify DEI training needs and topics across the organisation that’s support equity and inclusion and increase awareness

Qualifications & Experience    

• Matric
• University degree in Human Resources, or equivalent
• MDP: B-BBEE advantageous
• Project Management certification as an added advantage
• 8 years+ experience in a transformation & DEI role is highly advantageous
• B-BBEE legislative framework and oversight
• Mining, Construction, Manufacturing, Properties & Agriculture sector experience
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
