    Divisional Chief Executive - Durban

    Job Purpose


    Generate business, achieve targets and manage all aspects of the business including but not limited to staff, operations, sales, customer care, quality, credit / collections and costs for the East Region. The East Region consists of the Durban, Pietermartitzburg, Richards Bay and East London Branches.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Set the branch goals, operational plan and budget with the CEO
    • Grow revenue and retain existing clients
    • Control branch costs in general and abide by budget constraints
    • Achieve set budgets and targets
    • Effective management of the various departments and functions
    • Maintain and apply the ARAMEX culture, image and standards
    • Customer Satisfaction – Ensure proper customer service to branches and clients
    • Sales and Marketing – Visit clients to enhance relationships and explore new business opportunities
    • Human Resources – Co-ordinate with HR to ensure the recruitment of talented employees
    • Training – Liaise with Training to ensure staff are properly and adequately trained to perform their functions

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and/or experience
    • At least 10 years’ experience in a Management position
    • Experience in the Logistics industry is advantageous
    • Proven successful track record at running both a sizable team and income statement
    • Strong Business Acumen
    • Must be willing to travel
    • Valid Code 08 drivers licence and own reliable transport
    • Advanced Microsoft Package – Word, Excel, Power Point
