Draughtsman - Cape Town at Tsebo Solution

Duties & Responsibilities    
Generic Objectives

• Regularly communicate and coordinate through meetings and e-mail with clients, consultants, landlords and architects to compile and collect project information on feasibility and analyse the information to draw sketches and receive approval thereof from the client
• Create and produce accurate drawings from construction up to lighting layouts in eight working days once sketches from clients are approved according to approved Corporate Identity
• Apply relevant drawing applications according to client standards, AutoCAD and drawing office practise as set out and described in the Smart Project Document guideline and detail drawing specifications
• Correct the drawings of Consultants and management if so requested via e-mail and telephone, by analysis feedback and compare to Smart Projects Document and change to correct standard
• Maintain and save drawings to various systems and Vault server, by ensuring drawing layers, text line thicknesses are according to Smart Project document guidelines and apply version control
• Produce space planning layouts for departments according to approved Space policy by drawing the correct seating arrangement into given area and complying with client request.
• Perform site visits to gather necessary site measurement, layouts and building details to complete a set of sketches, working drawings or as built drawings.
• Ensure that drawing applications and space layouts comply with regulatory bodies, National Building Regulations (SANS), Occupational Health and Safety, municipal requirements, etc
• Ensure that drawing applications and space layouts comply to approved Space Policy and Corporate Identity to obtain maximum financial gain
• Immediate loading and saving of drawings to the Vault server according to defined standards for safe keeping by applying and filing in the relevant fields like drawing names, outlet names, provinces, details for future access and changes
• Daily updating of electronic files by copying projects from hard drive to network
• Time management of allocated tasks issued to project personnel
• Communicate and liaise with other members of Tsebo Workplace Design

Qualifications    

• NQF Level5 or 3-year National Diploma/Higher Certificate
• Architectural Draughting / Certificate
• Registered with the South African Council of Architectural Profession (SACAP), Draughtsman
• Minimum 1 year technical experience
• Technical Knowledge of the different equipment utilized in hybrid offices, training centres and call centres.
• Knowledge of interior-fitout construction methods and practices.
• Creation of interior design drawing packs to be issued to contractors for construction.
• Architectural layout planning experience
