• Conduct inter-bakery deliveries of bread on time, in full, and according to agreed schedules.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Safe and responsible use of the vehicle

• Comply with traffic laws and driving rules
• Drive safely and be courteous on the road
• Do not abuse company assets in any circumstances
• Report damages to the vehicle
• Conduct daily vehicle checks
• Report defects on a daily basis using the official checklist
• Ensure the vehicle cab is kept clean and hygienic

Oversee the performance of the Van Assistant

• Escalate any performance issues to Sales Supervisor
• Ensure self and Van Assistant adhere to hygiene and uniform requirements

On time delivery

• Adhere to departure times
• Notify Sales Supervisor of any delays

Report for duty on time

• Identify opportunities in store and on route and advise Sales Representative accordingly
• Report any deviations by Merchandisers
• Notify Bakery if run out of bread on route

Account for stock and money

• Do stock check before departure from bakery and sign off
• Ensure cash is stored in the safe at all times as per SOP
• Obtain Proof of Delivery (POD) as required
• Report any deviations and suspicious activity immediately

Positive basket flow

• Keep account of basket flow per route

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12
• Code 14 Drivers South African License
