Job Description:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

• To carry out driving duties in respect of deliveries and collections in a prompt and efficient manner, according to instruction.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/ equivalent.
• Good verbal and written communication and literacy skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
• A valid, unendorsed driver's license with the appropriate vehicle codes (EB, EC or EC1).
• Valid PDP required.
• Satisfactory visual, hearing and health to legally carry out work responsibility.
• Valid PDP required.
• A minimum of twelve months driving experience in a similar position doing collection and deliveries for a Company.

Profile Request:

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Report daily to an appointed duty controller as set out by management.
• Deliver and collect: customers, mail/post, parts, vehicles, specific equipment as required by controller.
• Assist in the cleaning and preparation of vehicles when required.
• To attend to duties required efficiently and timeously without violation of any traffic laws.
• To ensure the safekeeping of company assets under his/her control at all times.
• Fill in log sheets after every trip.
• Ensure all vehicles are locked after hours and parked under cover.
• To be neatly dressed at all times.
• Not to smoke or eat in company or customer's vehicles.
• Not to carry private passengers in the vehicle.
• Not to use company or customer's vehicles for any form of private use.
• To report any accident immediately to the manager and the authorities.
• To assist in ferrying of vehicles from wash bay to parking areas.
• Any ad hoc admin/other responsibilities as and when required.
