Senior Certificate [Grade 12] plus equivalent qualification at NQF level 4 as recognised by SAQA.
Advanced driving skills will be an added advantage.
Driver's licence [EC1 and Professional Driver Permit (PDP)].
Shortlisted candidates will also be subjected to a driving test.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Provide safe and punctual driving services to the department.
Regular checking and follow up of the driver plans.
Collect, deliver, pack and secure goods and services for the department
Transport officials and patients to different destination
Deliver correspondence to government authorities/organisations and assist in processing various vehicle permits.
Vehicle maintenance: daily check of oil, water, brake fluid, cleaning of vehicle, battery and tyres properly and keep the official vehicles in clean condition, both inside and outside.
Ensure the vehicle has adequate petrol level at all time
Ensure vehicles are serviced on time and schedule vehicle servicing time with Logistics Officer.
Ensure sound running of the vehicles assigned, report and arrange minor repairs where necessary.
