Driver Staff Bus at RCL Foods

Job Description    
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive buses along designated routes in a safe and timely manner
• Adhere to timetable, maintain regular stops and follow route guidelines
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the bus
• Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained
• Check the bus for safety issues and perform minor repairs
• Handle passenger emergencies or disruptions
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations
• Knowledge of traffic laws and road safety

Minimum Requirements    
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12.
• Drivers Licence Code 10
• PDP
• A formal qualification would be an added advantage
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in driving with clear driving record.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Organised
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Must be a self-starter and can use own initiative
• Must be able to communicate with people on all levels.
• Proven work experience as a Bus Driver
• Knowledge of local and regional bus routes
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor bus issues
