Load stock / spares received on system
Control incoming and outgoing stock
Picking, binning and loading of customer orders
Pack and crate stock for customer orders
General warehouse stock control
Inspection of parts for potential defects
Load and unload trucks
Correct identification of Weir parts
Despatch, delivery and collection of stock
Perform cycle counts on stock
Maintain Weir delivery vehicles and operate with due diligence
Managing of stores / stock
Stores administration
Liaise with Admin and Service Centre staff
Work standby and overtime as and when required
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12) Certificate or any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above
Relevant tertiary certificate or equivalent an advantage (warehousing / logistics / stock control)
2-3 years’ related experience in warehousing / logistics / stock control
Valid driver’s licence (C1) and Professional Driver’s Permit (PrDP)
Valid forklift and overhead crane licences
Computer literate – Microsoft Office suite (ERP Software, e.g. SAP, Infor LN an advantage)
Clear communication – verbal and written
Ability to solve problems in a timely manner
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction
