    ED & BBBEE Analyst (Operations) - Fourways

    Purpose

    Supports the Economic Development (“ED”) and Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (“B-BBEE”)  function within the Constructio team and for the organization as a whole, spanning across the full renewable energy project life cycle, from project development to pre-construction, and construction activities in order to ensure that all ED reporting and B-BBEE Code of Good Practice related aspects and commitments are executed in a timely and effective manner.

    Project Development

    • Provides support to the ED & BEE manager in researching industry trends and compiling all documentation and/or activities required during the bid submission and financial close processes.

    Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) Economic Development  (ED) Reporting

    Supports the ED & BEE manager in the following:

    • Understanding of Implementation agreements and comprehension of the economic development (ED) obligations for all awarded projects.
    • Engages with contractors regarding ED reporting, to receive the ED reports and supporting documentation and to ensure that contractors are abiding to reporting timelines.
    • Reviews ED reports of contractors and other relevant company suppliers’ that contain their ED achievements and commitments in detail and vets the achievements against supporting documentation.
    • Assists in liaising with company’s finance team on a monthly basis to obtain, analyzes and compiles relevant company ED achievements and supporting documentation
    • Compiles ED reports that include all company, supplier and EPC and O&M Contractor achievements and ensures that these reports are submitted within required timelines for review.
    • Ensures that all supporting documentation has been collated and saved on the company’s online systems in a clear and logical manner
    • Source local content declarations and expired B-BBEE certificates for reporting and store on the company’s online system.
    • Assist with the tracking of spend for the Socio-economic development, Skills development and Enterprise development initiatives and ensuring correct supporting documents are provided.
    • Responds to any ED reporting related queries raised by various stakeholders, as and when required.
    • Assists with coordinating the annual ED audits

    Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment

    • Supports the ED & BEE manager with the execution of all B-BBEE transformation interventions across all companies within the group - ensuring that the companies comply with legislative requirements and aligns to the business strategy.
    • Assist with coordinating the annual B-BBEE verifications for the company and all the project companies.
    • Participates in B-BBEE communication meetings

    Team Building

    • Develops and maintains relationships with all levels of staff as a trusted resource
    • Maintains strong working relationships with and has open and transparent communication between all members of the team to ensure a healthy working environment is maintained
    • Works closely and constructively with contractor staff to ensure the best stakeholder engagement outcome for the Project is achieved

    Communication

    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual reports & forecasts for board members, shareholders, financers and any other stakeholder

    Administration

    • Providing administrative support for all the department’s deliverables including the Supplier Registrations, Purchase Orders, Invoicing and getting document signatures.
    • Assist with all the department’s ad hoc requests and activities, as and when required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Finance / Admin and/or, Business Development
    • Driver’s license
    • Monitoring & evaluation experience advantageous

    Experience

    • 2-3 years’ related industry experience.
