Educator: Nurse at Mediclinic

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To present and facilitate Higher Education and Training programmes and courses to Mediclinic students and employees in order to acquire competence (incl. cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills) as independent healthcare practitioners on completion of training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Ensure compliance to Higher Education & Training and American Heart Association (AHA) standards
• Design and assess learning material and interventions
• Facilitate learning process, incl. theoretical and clinical facilitation
• Coordinate and administrate student-related processes

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

• Masters degree or Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Education, Advanced Diploma in Midwifery

DESIRED EDUCATION

• PhD in Nursing

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• 2 years experience in a training capacity
• 5 years experience within a maternity environment

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• 2-3 years experience in field of specialist discipline
