Senwes, a leading agricultural company, is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Technologist to join our Engineering and Property Assets Department.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment across Senwes agricultural facilities through effective project management, creative thinking, and problem solving.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
Conducting inspections of electrical systems, including panels, motors, wiring, and equipment, to identify faults and improve efficiency.
Managing electrical repairs and calibration by replacing faulty components, testing equipment, and maintaining records.
Designing low voltage distribution, lighting, and industrial electrical systems while working with suppliers and contractors.
Assisting with electrical projects through technical specifications, cost estimates, timelines, and contractor coordination.
Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards through risk assessments, procedures, and staff training.
Maintaining technical documentation, including maintenance logs, diagrams, and project reports.
Collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to deliver efficient and compliant electrical solutions.
Requirements
B.Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant Diploma.
At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in an industrial, agricultural, mining, or consulting engineering environment for B.Tech candidates, or 4–5 years’ post-qualification experience in a similar technical electrical role for Diploma candidates.
Previous experience working as an Electrical Technologist will be advantageous.
