Electrician at Pollock & Associates

Minimum Requirements:

• Electrician Trade Qualification.
• Proven experience in electrical installations, especially single-phase systems.
• Solid understanding of inverters, battery storage, and backup power systems.
• Ability to calculate voltage drops and determine correct cable sizing.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Medically fit for physical site work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Single-Phase Wireman License.
• Experience working on multiple sites and independently managing daily schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and maintain single-phase electrical systems and back-up power units.
• Set up and configure inverters, battery systems, and solar components.
• Calculate load, inverter size, battery and solar capacity requirements.
• Determine and install correct cabling based on voltage drop calculations.
• Conduct site inspections and troubleshoot faults.
• Ensure compliance with SANS electrical standards and site safety protocols.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to meet delivery and quality expectations.
