    Energy Manager

    Introduction

    • To manage the overall electricity and water consumption of the Woolworths Group and deliver on GBJ targets and initiatives

    Job description

    • Review energy and water profiles across stores, identify problem areas and assist stores with behaviour and process issues
    • Set monthly electrical and water budgets across all stores and track progress against budget
    • Monthly review and validation of all store water and electricity bills, resolve billing queries with Finance and stores as well as disputes with Landlords and provide technical input as required
    • Work with third party metering specialists to ensure metered data is accurate and energy profiles and reports are presented in a meaningful way
    • Review billing with third party specialists to ensure Woolworths are charged according to the most economical tariff.
    • Deliver on GBJ sustainability targets, energy and water savings targets
    • Track and report on all carbon consumption activities related to stores, compile carbon disclosure reports
    • Conduct regular training and awareness sessions in stores re energy and water savings techniques and practices
    • Investigate energy and water savings technologies and successful implementation of key projects in this area
    • Work closely with internal and external audit teams as well as Corporate Governance teams to ensure accurate collection and reporting of data

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Electrical Engineering Degree or National Diploma
    • Minimum 6 years electrical consulting/ contracting experience
