Role Headline

• Prepares technical models and drawings.

Responsibilities of the Role

• Designs and engineers under supervision of senior engineers the solution down to detail to satisfy the specified requirements of the customer.
• Defines under supervision of senior engineers the products, components and systems to be used and their concrete characteristics.
• Configures the components and systems under supervision of senior engineers of the solution according to the requirements.
• Develops detailed solutions under supervision of senior engineers for the integration to ensure the interaction of the individual elements as functioning unit.
• Perform all draughting tasks issued by the OEC team
• Investigate new features on software engineering tools to help improve efficiency and quality
• Perform Advanced AutoCAD and EPlan tasks
• Perform 3D Modelling/Rendering in AutoCAD, SolidEdge, Pro-panel
• Assist project teams with project related tasks (admin & technical) on various projects
• Attending site visits/meetings with senior system engineers to gather requirements from our customers
• Travel to sites with senior system engineers (within SA) for installation & commissioning, site audits, project & tender meetings, iFAT,CFAT,SAT etc
• Will be required to work extended hours on site as required on projects due to critical deadlines

Qualifications And Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Draughting and or AutoCAD required
• Minimum 7 Years’ experience

• Excellent time management skills
• Pays high attention to details, whilst remaining fast and accurate during draughting
• Fluent in AutoCAD
• Excellent computer literacy and able to learn new engineering software tools
• Ability to make use of intelligent functionality within the different software packages (i.e AutoCAD, EPlan, Pro-panel, SolidEdge)
• Excellent team player
