Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering Lead with a strong Solution Architecture and Technical Leadership background to envision, design, and lead the delivery of end-to-end, scalable, and future-proof technology solutions across multiple platforms and industries.
• The successful candidate will combine hands-on software development expertise, architectural design capability, and inspirational technical leadership to drive product and programme alignment, mentor engineering teams, and deliver robust, enterprise-grade solutions.

Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Solution Design 

• Lead the end-to-end design and development of integrated technical solutions across multiple technologies. 
• Analyse complex business and technical problems and formulate scalable, secure, and operational solutions within organisational architectures and constraints. 
• Drive solution decomposition, sequencing, and resourcing planning. 
• Design robust, sustainable, and future-proof architectures, covering people, processes, systems, and data. 
• Own technical decision-making, trade-offs, and risk management. 
• Present and defend solutions in architecture governance forums and obtain stakeholder buy-in. 
• Apply product-thinking and long-term strategic vision when designing solutions. 

Hands-on Technical Contribution 

• Provide hands-on technical leadership including software development, coding, system design, and DevOps pipeline implementation. 
• Assist software engineers with low-level design and troubleshooting technical delivery challenges. 
• Maintain and continuously enhance technical assets for long-term sustainability. 
• Lead delivery of solutions from concept through to production. 

People Leadership & Mentorship 

• Lead and mentor engineering teams and technical practitioners. 
• Provide coaching, upskilling, and professional development. 
• Grow and contribute to the Engineering Lead community of practice. 
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and organisational alignment. 

Strategic & Business Alignment 

• Support business strategy, objectives, and values. 
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, systems, and models through agile thinking. 
• Influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders. 
• Participate in corporate responsibility and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field. 
• Diploma (advantageous). 
• TOGAF Certification, ITIL or equivalent architecture certification. 
• Cloud Certifications: AWS (mandatory), Azure / GCP / DevOps (advantageous).

• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. 
• Infrastructure as Code. 

Delivery & Agile 

• Strong SDLC understanding. 
• Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe. 

Experience

• Minimum 5 years in technical leadership roles. 
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and delivery. 
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. 
• Ability to clearly articulate solution design decisions. 
• Demonstrated personal ownership of solution delivery.
