Engineering Manager at Pollock & Associates

You will be a seasoned professional who will be required to oversee all engineering functions, ensuring optimal production while adhering to quality standards and environmental regulations. As a key player in our team, you’ll provide leadership, problem-solving expertise, and strategic direction for both short-term troubleshooting and long-term improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• GCC – Factories accreditation essential
• B.Eng. or National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical or equivalent
• Trade-tested Millwright with hands-on experience who has progressed
• Minimum 5 years in continuous process manufacturing
• Proficiency in MS Office, DMS, financial control, and report writing
• Sound knowledge of process principles, instrumentation, and OHASA regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Management Mastery: You will be in charge of budgeting and stock control while overseeing engineering planning, project management, and plant availability. Your role involves nurturing talent through effective training to drive continuous improvement.
• Deadline Dynamo: Manage projects and modifications, adjudicate quotes, and ensure compliance with OHASA specifications while maintaining organised, successful outcomes within deadlines.
• Site Strategist: Recommend methods for product improvement, justify equipment purchases, and establish electrical equipment lifespan plans, ensuring CAPEX initiatives align with plant needs.
• Safety Sentinel: Uphold a culture of safety by adhering to regulations, enforcing proper tool usage, and meticulously planning and executing safety protocols.
