A National Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Three (3) years post-qualification Electrical engineering experience. Compulsory Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineering Technician. The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license.
Duties
Analysis and development of water resource systems' operating rules. Development of planning/ Operation models or decision support systems for water resource development/management.
Expert advice in water resource planning/operations. Develop a business plan and manage human resources. Assist engineers, Technologists and associates in the field, workshop, and technical office activities. Promote safety in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate existing technical manuals, standards drawings, and procedures to incorporate new technology. Produce technical designs with specifications and submit for evaluation and approval by the relevant authority. Develop and draft maintenance strategies in line with the Asset Management Plan (AMP). Develop and update the maintenance demand plan and operational plan.
Provide inputs into the budgeting process as required. Compile and submit technical reports as required. Develop, implement, and maintain databases. Supervise and control technical and related personnel and assets. Lead and manage maintenance Opex and Capex projects in line with best project management practices. Liaise with relevant bodies/councils on engineering-related matters.
