Events Manager at Salt South Africa

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the strategic events calendar, aligning with company goals.
• Conceptualise and negotiate event ideas, securing sponsorships and partnerships to maximise value.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, partners, and suppliers.
• Book and coordinate advertising and media to promote events effectively.
• Liaise with event companies, vendors, and suppliers to ensure all requirements are met.
• Review event proposals and screen event-related inquiries to ensure alignment with objectives.
• Lead and manage the event team and crew, ensuring smooth execution of all activities.
• Collaborate closely with the marketing team to provide support and integrate event strategies.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in events management, preferably within the retail or shopping centre industry.
• Proven track record in securing sponsorships and partnerships.
• Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
