The Excise Specialist in Corporate Affairs is responsible for the implementation and management of all key regulatory affairs in order to protect the license to trade , maintain the reputation of the business and protect overall regulatory environment.
So, what does an Excise Specialist do? The successful incumbent will be responsible for statistical modelling and data management, track and maintain key excise issues facing the business, and develop strategic responses as required, conduct research to support the development of submissions to relevant industry regulatory authorities, develop and maintain sound and mutually beneficial relationships with relevant role players at all levels of government, develop and maintain a robust depository and deep understanding of relevant and reliable data and communicate the value of available information to the relevant role players and engage stakeholders including NGO’s, government, and organized business to build awareness and educate.
The ideal candidate is someone who holds a four-year degree in economics/accounting (Econometrics Preferred) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience with a good understanding of:
