    Executive Head: Business & Market Development

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Facilities Management, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in key account management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the facilities management, construction, or service-oriented industries.
    • Demonstrated success in acquiring new business, achieving sales targets, and driving revenue growth.
    • Strong understanding of integrated facilities management services, and sustainability services.
    • Experience with strategic growth initiatives in this space is highly desirable.
    • Sales & Negotiation Skills: Excellent ability to negotiate, close deals, and manage client expectations effectively.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, create actionable insights, and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and information clearly and persuasively to senior executives and stakeholders.
    • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and drive results under pressure.
    • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct and collaborate in-depth market research to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive intelligence. Use this data to shape strategies for client acquisition and market expansion in respective business unit.
    • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and qualify potential clients through proactive outreach, networking, and leveraging industry relationships. Focus on long-term business partnerships with key decision-makers in target industries.
    • Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute a strategic business sales plan that aligns with company goals. Collaborate with senior management to refine target markets, sales tactics, and account priorities.
    • Proposal & Contract Management: Lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, and tender responses. Negotiate terms and conditions with potential clients to close new
    • business deals and secure profitable contracts within an agreed GP.
    • Client Onboarding & Integration: Oversee the smooth transition from sales to operations for new accounts. Collaborate with operations, and other departments to ensure
    • seamless implementation of services.
    • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term business retention. Act as the primary point of contact for new business accounts post-sale.
    • Service Delivery Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and that service delivery aligns with client expectations. Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to service implementation and performance in line with Customer Survey.
    • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the progress of new business initiatives, client satisfaction, and revenue growth. Adjust strategies as needed to ensure business objectives are met.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with group BDE, marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure business development strategies are aligned with company objectives and operational capabilities.
    • Marketing & Branding Support: Collaborate with marketing teams to design campaigns, create promotional materials, and enhance the company’s brand presence in the marketplace.
    • Innovation & Service Enhancement: Provide input to the development of new service offerings and solutions that meet market needs. Contribute to the company’s innovation strategies to stay competitive.
    • Manage Development / Build Capability of the BU Sales Team, Manage Individual Performance in collaboration with the DMD and Chief Commercial Officer.
