    Export Commercial Consultant

    Minimum requirements

    • National Senior Certificate, Degree in business development, business management or business administration is an advantage, Certificate or Diploma in sales and marketing is an advantage, Valid driver’s license,
    • Languages: Fluent in English and one other SA language (area dependent), Valid passport, 5 years commercial export management experience, 5 years sales experience in a retail or wholesale environment and Extensive travel experience.

    • An ideal candidate is someone who meets or exceeds the outlined requirements and has the following skills and knowledge: Sales, Product knowledge, Negotiation, Presentation skills, Database management,
    • Budget development and control, Strategy and market research, Campaign implementation, Branding, Public relations & publicity, Business development, Report writing, MS Office and MS Office.

    Main duties

    Key duties for this postion are the following:

    • Strategically drive the Exports department, Export strategy development, Generating and identifying new business from new and existing export clients and countries, Investigate and research new potential export countries, Decide and assess risk on the best route to market strategy, Compile business plans to target new markets and present to the board of Directors,
    • Compile sound contracts and SLAs, Negotiating contracts, pricing and terms with export customers, Managing risk assessments for new initiatives, Monitoring industry developments in the various export markets, Assisting with product planning in the export markets,
    • Creating increased brand awareness in export countries, Build strong and productive relationships with export customers, Drive and ensure brand equity in export markets, Develop and implement brand guidelines to ensure consistency in all marketing,
    • Maintain the required level of service delivery to build positive relationships and encourage repeat business, Share the brand story and values to connect with customers on a deeper level and Deliver customer satisfaction.
