    External Manufacturing Planner

    • You will be the frontline contact for the day to day operations and communication with external manufacturer, our internal operations team, and the Sub Saharan team.
    • Coordinate new launches commercialization made at the external manufacturer and provide suppliers with full visibility of material plans for the coming weeks.
    • Lead the supply review being part of the S&OP process with external manufacturer and operations’ functions stakeholders.

    About You

    • You will perform all operational activities in the bottling production plant including liaising with external suppliers for end to end materials for production, synchronizing demand & supply and monitoring key performance indicators.

    You will also be responsible for ensuring on-time & full availability of raw and packaging materials to guarantee the on-time in full availability of products to market and customers.

    Responsibilities

    With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:

    •  Be the first point of contact with external supplier and responsible to create and validate final production plans
    •  Input the process and production orders in SAP and then reconcile the same upon external supplier confirmation
    •  Proposes necessary changes on or adjustments to the production plan
    •  Overviews and manages slobs, shelf life, write off risks
    •  Manages production orders (upload the orders and confirm production quantities in SAP)
    •  Manages rework orders if any (stickers, promotional items)
    •  Maintain relationship with copacker monitoring performances vs set SLA KPIs
    •  Coordinate new launches commercialization made at the external manufacturer
    •  Logistic support when needed.
    •  Lead weekly material requirements to the supply base covering the period of 18-24 months demand horizon
    •  Provide suppliers with full visibility of material plans for the next 13 weeks rolling
    •  To release purchase orders in line with bottling requirements and ensure the timely rescheduling of these as required.
    •  Attendance at supplier review meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis.
    •  To work in parallel with the Supplier Development Officer to ensure sufficient pipeline materials to support future bottling plans.
    •  To manage the stock risk attached to dry goods packaging materials.
    •  To operate within the agreed material escalation process.
    •  Manage inventory in line with agreed targets, preventing slow-non movers and write offs
    •  On time communication of any material or finished goods’ related issues.
    •  Preparation of critical component supply issues information for the monthly plant S&OP process ie supply review.
    •  Preparation of a monthly report for the Planning & Materials Manager detailing future material supply by critical commodity, volume and value of materials received month and year to date by supplier and any supply/quality related
    •  downtime incidents including appropriate corrective and preventative actions. The report should also include details of on hand inventory and obsolescence risk.
    •  To ensure that material supply policies are currently reviewed and updated to reflect current and future business needs.
    •  To understand the impact of, and proactively manage any major deviations (> +/- 15% to dry goods requirements).
    •  No direct budget responsibilities although weekly and monthly input to cost control required.
    •  To supply weekly material requirements to the supply base covering the period of next day - 18 months.
    •  To release purchase orders in line with bottling requirements and ensure the timely rescheduling of these as required.
    •  Support supplier review meetings for what concerns operations planning.
    •  To work with procurement team to ensure sufficient pipeline materials to support future bottling plans.
    •  To manage the stock risk attached to dry goods packaging materials.
    •  To operate within the agreed material escalation process.
    •  To manage days of supply of dry goods inventory in line with agreed targets.
    •  To supply suppliers with full visibility of material plans for the next 4 weeks on a rolling basis.
    •  Communicate and escalate on time to stakeholders with regards to any material of finished goods’ issues, or any other with regards to the production.
    •  Preparation of critical component supply issues information for the monthly plant S & OP process.
    •  Preparation of a monthly report for the Planning & Materials Manager detailing future material supply by critical commodity, volume and value of materials received month and year to date by supplier and any supply/quality related
    •  downtime incidents including appropriate corrective and preventative actions. The report should also include details of on hand inventory and obsolescence risk.
    •  To ensure that material supply policies are currently reviewed and updated to reflect current and future business needs, particularly in the premium spirits category.
    •  To understand the impact of, and proactively manage any major deviations (> +/- 15% to dry goods requirements).
    •  No direct budget responsibilities although weekly input to cost control required.
    •  Support the month end stock reconciliation for tolling materials signed off by ops finance.
    •  Work closely with planning, market supply chain and logistics functions to ensure shipment plan is secured or can be adapted to best meet demand as per agreed SLA and approval processes.
    •  Ensure orders are shipped respecting SLA, golden rules, performance standards and compliance (e.g. lead time, MOQs, safety, quantities, active and correct SKU, OTIF, invoice release).
    •  Guarantee MD activities (on SAP and MDG modules) in quality, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
    •  Build and maintain (internal) customer relationships through daily communication channels regarding order fulfilment status.
    •  Ensure customer request response and investigate solution for critical issues to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
    •  Propose product replacement when necessary to customer/CSR ensuring payload targets are respected.
    •  Facilitate continuous stock review (Finish products, raw and pack goods) and agree action to address slow moving items.
    •  Ensure products switch are managed properly at order level to avoid inventory obsolescence and write off.
    •  Track any order delay, report root causes through weekly process and make sure corrective actions are in place with the relevant stakeholders.
    •  Inform and escalate supply issues leading to out of stock and back order risks to Market Supply Chain when appropriate and propose corrective actions.
    •  Inform and challenge internal team and Transport representative to achieve the perfect execution of order fulfilment throughout the manufacturing and delivery process.
    •  Manage ad hoc projects when necessary to drive process solutions improvement.
    •  Provide weekly, monthly order fulfilment related reports.
    •  Lead the supply review being part of the S&OP process with external manufacturer and operations’ functions stakeholders.
    •  Work in close collaboration with market demand planner and customer service
    •  Review RCCP with external manufacturer in the frame of the 3Years strategic plan
    •  Support LTDP planning process for 3YP for local external manufacturer scope
    •  Drive quarterly review of sourced markets stocks with particular focus on projected stock levels to monitor end to end inventory in the network, in collaboration with local supply chain
    •  Support level 2 and 3 projects commercialization phases for new products for sourced from external manufacturer
    •  Secure master data set up at sourcing location based on innovation gates in coordination with regional master data support and local supply chain
    •  Ensure that new product Demand is captured by demand planner at least 3 months in advance through the S&OP process.
    •  Support demand planner analysis and propose initiatives on product Lifecycle management ie SKU rationalization
    •  Support Demand Driven Replenishment deployment out of sourcing location once logistics third party will be in place.
    •  Responsible to maintain Supply Network Planning (SNP) within the global planning system (APO) in order to provide visibility of the full Bacardi business through the supply chain for local external manufacturing location.
    •  Develop Business Intelligence (BI) reporting to meet the requirements of the team.
    •  Develop, maintain and broadcast relevant set of KPI to control Supply Chain performance (inventory, lead time, Planning Adherence, Replenishment Performance etc.) for the scope
    •  Product allocation management in collaboration with local market supply chain
    •  Enhance continuous improvement and constructively challenge status quo
    •  Manage and record invoicing and loading within specific time of finished goods’ sales orders
    •  Manage and follow export processes and relevant related requirements.
    •  Create and complete missing standard operating procedures
    •  Ensure accuracy of system eg MRP, MD, stock
    •  Engage with IT business partners

    •  Excellent computer skills including advanced excel FMCG expertise is highly valued.
    •  Knowledge of SAP ECC and APO is mandatory
    •  Minimum 3-5 years of experience in FMCG industry
