Air Products South Africa is seeking a Facility Foreman to oversee the production and distribution of all packaged gases at our facility in Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Control and Forecasting: Oversee and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate forecasting to meet production demands.
Production: Coordinate and supervise the production process.
Distribution: Manage the distribution to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to customers, optimizing routes and logistics.
Training: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members, ensuring compliance with company standards and practices.
SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality): Ensure adherence to safety, health, environmental, risk management, and quality assurance protocols to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Deputizes: Carries out any other duties as instructed by the Facility Supervisor/ Regional Sales Manager to minimise non-productive time.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Operations Management or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3-5 years of heavy-duty driving experience in the Gas/Chemical or associated industry.
Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a Production and Distribution environment within the Gas or related industry.
Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory and practical application experience in SHERQ and ISO management systems.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing shifts, manpower costs, and customer relationships.
Medically fit, capable of undertaking physical work, and available to work shifts and overtime as required.
Proven experience with RTMS systems and Dangerous Goods conveyance.
A valid Forklift and truck-mounted crane license.
Recommended to possess a Code 14 unendorsed driver's license with PDrP (DG) classification.
Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
Computer-literate, Proficient in the MS Office Suite.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate within a diverse team.
